Brian M. Barish, CFA, President, Director of Research

President and Director of Research, Brian Barish is responsible for Cambiar's disciplined, relative-value approach to investment management and is head of the investment committee. With over 19 years experience, Brian’s primary analytical responsibilities are the technology, autos and aerospace & defense sectors.

Prior to joining Cambiar in 1997, Mr. Barish served as Director of Emerging Markets Research for Lazard Freres & Co., a New York based investment bank. Mr. Barish also worked as a securities analyst with Bear, Stearns & Co. and Arnhold & S. Bleichroeder, a New York based research firm. Brian received a BA in Economics and Philosophy from the University of California, Berkeley, and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

 

Ania A. Aldrich, CFA, Principal

With over 19 years experience, Ania Aldrich is a Principal of the firm and a senior investment analyst, covering the financial services and consumer Staples sectors. Prior to joining Cambiar in 1999, Ms. Aldrich was a global equity analyst at Bankers Trust, where she covered the financial services and transportation sectors. Ms. Aldrich began her career as senior investor relations professional at BET PLC, a New York based communications firm. Ania holds an MBA in Finance from Fordham University and a BA in Computer Science from Hunter College, and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
 

Maria L. Mendelsberg, CFA, Principal

With over 15 years experience, Maria is a Principal of the firm and a senior investment analyst, covering the healthcare and retail sectors. Prior to joining Cambiar in 1997, she served as an investment analyst for Eaton Vance Management, a Boston based investment company. Before launching her investment career, Maria spent many years working in retail management. Maria received a BA in Economics and Classics from Brown University, and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. 
 

Timothy A. Beranek, Principal

With over 16 years experience, Tim Beranek is responsible for company coverage in the basic materials, energy and utility sectors. Prior to joining Cambiar in 1999, Mr. Beranek was with Resources Trust, where he had responsibility for oversight of financial controls for the company’s mutual fund trading relationships. Tim began his career at Merrill Lynch. Tim holds a Masters in Finance from the University of Colorado, and a BS in Economics from the University of South Dakota.


Andrew P.  Baumbusch, Vice President

Andrew Baumbusch is responsible for the global coverage of the industrials, telecommunications, media and transportation sectors. Prior to joining Cambiar in 2004, Mr. Baumbusch was an analyst with Franklin Templeton, covering the wireless communications industry.   In addition, Mr. Baumbusch held investment analyst positions with Atrium Capital as well as Alex Brown & Sons. 

Andrew holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BA in Economics from Princeton University.



Bo K. Brownstein, Vice President

Bo Brownstein is responsible for coverage of the business services, leisure  and hospitality/property businesses sectors.  Prior to joining Cambiar in 2004, Bo worked as an investment analyst for Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and Credit Suisse First Boston. Bo holds an MBA from Columbia University with a focus in equity research and a BA in Political Science and History from the University of California Los Angeles.


Jeffrey H. Susman, Vice President

Jeff Susman’s primary analytical responsibilities are coverage of the electronics, hardline retail and restaurant industries.  In addition, Mr. Susman works in conjunction with the rest of the investment team to oversee the day-to-day management and administration of the Cambiar Small Cap Equity strategy. Prior to joining Cambiar in 2005, Mr. Susman worked at UBS Investment Bank in New York, where he was an associate analyst in the Global Communications Equipment Equity Research Team.  Jeff began his career at Wellington Management.  Jeff holds an MBA in Finance and Corporate Strategy from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and a BA in Economics and International Relations from Tufts University. 

Jennifer M. Dunne, CFA, Principal

Jennifer is an International investment analyst at Cambiar; her analytical responsibilities include the energy, industrials, utilities and basic materials sectors.  Prior to joining Cambiar in 2005, Ms. Dunne was a senior equity analyst at Founders Asset Management LLC.  With over 14 years of investment experience, Jennifer holds a graduate diploma from the London School of Economics, a Masters in Economics from the University of British Columbia and a BA from the University of Colorado, Boulder.  
 

Todd L. Edwards, Vice President

Todd Edwards is an international investment analyst. His primary analytical responsibilities include coverage of the financial and consumer sectors. Prior to joining Cambiar in 2007, Mr. Edwards was a director at Citigroup Global Markets, where he worked in the global emerging markets group. Prior to Citi, Mr. Edwards was the director of equity research at BBVA Securities; he also served as the group’s Latin America equity strategist. Most recently Mr. Edwards completed two international studies country textbooks focused on Brazil and Argentina. Todd holds a PhD and MA from Tulane University and a BA from The Colorado College. 

Alvaro Shiraishi, Vice President

Alvaro is an International investment analyst; his company coverage includes the property/ construction, infrastructure and retail industries.  Before  joining Cambiar in 2007, Mr. Shiraishi worked at Aon Corporation in Chicago, where he conducted risk management research for the industrials and construction industries.  Prior to his work at Aon, Alvaro was an Equity Analyst for UBS in New York, covering the Latin American Building Materials, Construction, Homebuilding, Property and Transports industries.  Alvaro received a BA in Economics from Universidad Panamericana in Mexico City.
